This 8x10 painting was painted on location at the Groovy Plant ranch in Ohio. The inspiration was abundant at this garden center, but these irises were calling out to me. I couldn’t resist capturing the bold reds, pinks, and greens with thick, expressive palette knife strokes—it was such a joyful morning of painting.
