The inspiration for this painting came while running on one of my frequent routes on the Hilliard Rails to Trails bike path. This particular day was a snowy one in December and I started my run later in the evening before the sun went down. The evening was quiet and peaceful with the trees heavy from their snow-covered branches. I was alone except for an occasional runner that would run by me. It was a moment in a magical winter wonderland!
